ASKING POTENTIAL AUDIENCES

1) Do you like music videos?
From this question we discovered that we should be aiming our music video at a younger generation, such as teenagers, because it appears they will enjoy them more.

2) What do you like about music videos?
From this, we understand that we would have to make our video different and unique in order for it to stand out and be memorable.

3. What is your favourite music video?
4. Do you prefer performance, narrative or mixture videos?
5. Do you think a song needs a music video to get audience?

From this we can see that our teachers favourite music video is one that is different and memorable so therefore we can see that we want ours to stand out and be unique. We can also gather that we would want our music video to be a mixture of performance based and abstract because it is more memorable if it includes abstract pieces and yet if it is performance based you can see the artist perform so it encourages audience to go and buy tickets to a concert. Additionally we can see that for older generations a music video is not essential yet for our generation it is vital as the video needs to go on youtube in order to attract an audience.
